It finds the tiniest gaps, settles on the electrical contacts, and suddenly you&amp;rsquo;ve got a conductive path where you don&amp;rsquo;t want one. We fight this with silicone gaskets and cable glands that are hermetically sealed. If that seal gives way, you&amp;rsquo;re looking at a tripped GFCI at best, or fried internal wiring at worst.
